had myself a drawing day at the american museum of natural history, a great museum to spend the day wandering through or sitting and drawing. of course i am a fan of the dioramas, which are great to draw, but it's also a big enough museum to come across areas i have never been to before. the gem room in particular is amazing. dark, difficult accessibility, designed in the 70's, it's not for everyone, but it's worth a visit.

The 4th image reminds me of how Otis sits.

i saw it and thought of porkchop! it's actually a jaguar statue from oaxaca, however, i figure it's a descendent of otis and porkchop.
